Contract for Selling Hametz 5784-2024
DEADLINE: 8:30am, April 22, 2024.

We are happy to help you with the mitzvah of selling your hametz (leavened food) before Passover. If possible, all hametz should be consumed or given away before the holiday begins. Otherwise, the hametz may be stored in such a way that we are sure not to use it during the holiday.  Its actual ownership, and the ownership of the space in which it is stored, is transferred to a non-Jew until the holiday ends. Please complete the form below and return no later than 8:30 AM, April 22, 2024.

I, the undersigned, fully empower and permit Rabbi Julie Roth to act on my behalf to sell all hametz possessed by me – knowingly or unknowingly – as defined by Torah and rabbinic law, and to lease all places wherein hametz owned may be found. 

This transaction will take effect at 11:30 am Monday, April 22, 2024, and will remain in effect from that time and for the duration of Pesah, which this year begins with sundown of Monday, April 22, 2024 and runs through Tuesday, April 30, 2024, 8:37 PM.
