Mesh Cafe Nov 28, 2017

meshFrom Captain Stuart Green

Although your MESH captain forgot to take a photo of the proceedings last night, he can attest that 19 guests attended the Shomrei MESH Cafe on a brisk fall evening, and were very well taken care of.

Carolyn Lack and Barbara Lesser prepared a nourishing meal of deviled eggs and crudite; vegetarian chili with squash, bulgur, corn, and beans; and, for dessert, pumpkin cake and ice cream. Rachel Kanter baked homemade muffins for takeaway goodie bags. We had a small, but highly efficient, crew on hand to help serve and clean up: Shomrei teen Amalia; Montclair Jewish Workshop students Katie, Flora, and Sarah along with organizer Malia Schweger; and MESH staff Adrienne and Joe. Rabbi Greenstein also made an appearance and offered greetings of the season to our guests.
