On December 12, Jordy Stone and Lauren Pack delivered all of the gifts from the Shomrei Shares program to the Family Promise Offices on South Fullerton Avenue in Montclair.
The weather outside was frightful (brrrr) but inside the Shomrei kitchen it was warm as toast as a small but mighty group of MESH volunteers labored with love to prepare a hearty feast for our neighbors at MESH. (more…)
We had our first Teen MESH of the year.
We decided to go with tried-and-true for our first Teen MESH of the year. The dinner bags were packed with: Salmon burgers on buns, Tzatziki sauce, Rice Pilaf Mediterranean salad, Cookies, Protein bar, Tangerines, and Water.
Jordan, president of PLATES, brought four other club members to cook for our 50 guests. Pictured above: Olyvia, Jordan, Caitlin, Sena and Leila.
Once again, our Shomrei Community of Giving stepped up to the call for MESH supplies for winter respite. Over the course of the two week drive, we transported roughly 10 van and SUV loads of paper towels, toilet paper and coffee to MESH headquarters.
