This past Tuesday evening, twenty-five Shomrei members gathered in the social hall to learn about the national shift in immigration policy and the impact of those policies on the lives of people throughout the nation and in nearby communities. The ad hoc committee responsible for the program felt it was especially timely in light of the upcoming celebration of Passover and the holiday’s focus on freedom and our people’s story of persecution. Teen MESH was this week. Jordan (team leader), Sena, Livvie and new volunteer Marley were the very efficient crew. On Monday (3/22), we cooked and packed dinner bags with: Honey baked chicken, Cous Cous Salad, Roll, Cookies, Tangerine, Protein bar, and Water.

On Tuesday (March 24), Congregation Shomrei Emunah delivered the results of their spring Pasta Drive on behalf of the Human Needs Food Pantry. Members gave generously and filled an SUV with all they contributed. (more…)
