Shomrei suffered a burst pipe midday yesterday and considerable flooding ensued.  The YAC, library, back hallway and Rabbi’s office suffered water damage, some of it considerable.

Early this morning, a water damage restoration company began work to isolate the damage and stabilize the situation.

The building, including the preschool is currently closed. The date of reopening will be determined after a complete assessment of the damage.

Shomrei President, Fern Heinig has been personally overseeing the work since this morning.

Look for updates from Executive Director, Marge Wise and Education Director, Heather Brown in your email regarding status and contingency plans.
