Eulogy for Noa Freudberg
El Malei Rachamim
My dear friend Noa Freudberg, Noel bat Joseph, tragically died on September 30, 2021. We met in Torah study class at Shomrei Emunah, and she became the God-given sister I never had.
A licensed social worker, Noa made many contributions to society, to her patients and to the many people whose lives she touched and saved. She was bright, talented kind and compassionate. She was Educated at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in Pittsburgh, Noa had great analytical skills and social justice values. She worked at University Hospital in Newark as a medical social worker. She was also in private practice for many years. Many psychiatrists would refer patients to Noa because of her skill, kindness and empathy.
Noa loved animals and her dream was to work on a farm, rescuing abused animals. She volunteered with many social action committees.
Noa was a God-given sister whom I loved very much. She was there for me when my mother was dying. I will miss her every day – her smile, her jokes and all my times with her
May the memory of Noa Freudberg be a blessing.
Thank you for your heartfelt tribute to Noa. May our memories of Noa provide consolation at this time of sorrow and loss.

Thank you for writing this Eulogy. I always enjoyed learning with Noa in Torah study in the pre covid days. Noa was a special person and it is wonderful of you for sharing her specialness with our members.

I knew Noa (Noel) for several years, being one of those people whose life she touched and saved. Through her compassion and caring nature, I was able to go places in my life and fulfill dreams I never thought possible, the biggest one being raising my twins who are now 9 years old., as a single mom. I am grateful that Noel was able to meet them and hopefully know her role in making them possible for me. Over the last few years, although I no longer saw Noel in a professional relationship, we did on occasion keep in touch. Unfortunately with Covid and other situations, we had not talked recently but a couple months ago had connected again and had planned on meeting as soon as our lives allowed. It is with great sadness that I say that this didn’t happen. I will always regret that I didn’t get to see Noel one last time before her passing to be able to tell her again how much she meant to me and the immeasurable role she had in my life today and where I am. I can only hope that even without my saying it one last time, that through our years together, it is something that she knew.

I went to St. Mary’s Grammar and High Schools with Noel Freudberg from Paterson, New Jersey, At that time, she was a practicing Catholic. Our birthdays are 2 days apart and, although we hadn’t seen one another in decades, I’m so sorry to think that this is her. Please advise.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was a patient of hers for several years, and she was very helpful. We bonded over our love of animals. I once gifted her a painting that was done by a goat. She loved it. Blessings and condolences to you, her fsmily, and her other friends.
Patricia Cerulli: Yes. This is Noel. Her father, Nate, was Jewish; her mother, Catholic. She converted later in life.
Noel Freudberg, if this is the woman who provided therapy at 24 Elm St, in Morristown,NJ, then I am truly sorry this happened. She was the therapist for someone very close to me and Noel was amazing.
Hello, Noel was my therapist and she was wonderful. We lost contact around 2020 because she was in the hospital. I just found this and am wondering if someone could tell me what happened? If this is truly her I am so sorry.
