Mesh Cafe Mar 3, 2015

Report from Captain Sarita Eisenberg:
Twenty appreciative guests were happy to be out of the snow and applauded after the menu was announced. The meal was catered through a donation by the Chevrah Shas (our Sunday morning Talmud Study Group) and included: egg salad with crackers, a hearty vegetable soup, a main course of chicken shwarma and meatloaf, roasted potatoes, and carrot kugel with cookies for desert. Our guests went home with a goody bag of hamentashen and other treats provided by Deanna London.
The adult helpers were Linda Ariel and Lou Hammerman together with Sierra Wendeborn. Sierra along with regulars Ben and Caleb mentored a crew of STOM teens – Sam, Danielle, Rachel, Sebastian, Josephine – and Montclair HS Key Club member Chase.
Several of the STOM crew were doing MESH for the first time. I asked them how they felt and one commented “I think I’ll come back next week.” It doesn’t get any better than that.
