Board of Trustees, People of Shomrei

Meet Pam Golden, Nominee for Treasurer

Pam GoldenFollowing my marriage to Murray Slovick in May 2010 at Shomrei, it was clear that we wanted to become part of this special community. While it took two years for us to finally make the move to West Orange, once we did, we promptly joined the synagogue. I was honored to be asked to join the board last year and the experience has been extremely rewarding and fulfilling.

As the founder and owner of GLA Communications, a public relations agency in Millburn, I thought I would be tapped to help market and promote the synagogue. Instead, my talents as a business owner have been put to work in the area of finance. I have truly enjoyed working closely with Nick Levitin, Bela Schwartz and Sarita Eisenberg to create new processes and procedures that will help secure the financial future of Shomrei.

As treasurer, I hope to be able to continue this collaborative effort as the community makes important decisions on its future.

Editor’s Note:  Pam is part of a new slate of candidates standing for election at the Annual Membership Meeting, May 27, 6:30pm BBQ, 7:30pm Meeting. Please come to the meeting and show your support for all the members of our congregant-volunteer Board of Trustees who donate many hours to Shomrei.
