Noah through a Cartoonist’s Lens

Noah's Ark

The Bible has inspired artists, authors, musicians, sculptors, painters, musical comedy writers and cartoonists among the multitude of creative artists.

The story of Noah is a particularly rich story: it’s full of drama, cute animals, sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll…well, maybe not rock ‘n roll and while it’s mostly suitable for children, it is definitely an adult story.

An Association of Jewish Libraries colleague, Jacob Richman, is an inveterate collector of material on Jewish topics. He recently offered a selection of cartoons riffing off the Noah’s Ark story such as the cartoon below.

    Aileen Grossberg, a professional librarian, is a long-time congregant and serves as volunteer librarian for Shomrei's Lampert Library. The library, one of the best-kept secrets at Shomrei is used by the Rabbi, congregants, students and teachers of the JLC (Hebrew School) and Preschool. It's a tremendous resource completely supported by your donations and gifts. Aileen also heads the Shomrei Caterers, the in-house food preparation group.
