Shomrei Bridge Club Up and Running

Seamless background with suits

The Shomrei Bridge Club is now a genuine going concern! This past week we had 5 players, including a student from the Adult School of Montclair bridge class from last fall. Bridge Club Anyone?

Seamless background with suitsBill Batkay Writes:
As a new student of the game, I’d like to invite community members who play bridge to form a synagogue bridge club. The goal is to find a mutually satisfactory day and time to get together for periodic low-key games of bridge. We could get together once a week, once or twice a month or on whatever schedule interested players would find convenient.

Optimally, I’d like the group to be open to all levels, but this will depend on who is interested.

If the  idea of a synagogue bridge club appeals to you, please contact Bill Batkay at your convenience at this email address: .

Thanks for your interest.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank You for a Special Kiddush

billwclyde4I would like to thank Marge Wise, for handling my request to sponsor the kiddush on February 1st so expeditiously; Aileen Grossberg, for her expert planning and execution of the wonderful Israeli menu for that kiddush; and all those who assisted with the shopping and preparation for the meal.

Finally, I’d like to thank all those who came to services or the kiddush to share in my special joy. I could not imagine a more satisfying and delightful way to mark my 70th birthday. Thank you all.
