MESH Report Dec 21, 2021
Chef Lynne Kurzweil prepared another hearty feast with the gracious assistance of frequent Sous Chef and all around kitchen helper Susan Rosenblatt.
Dry Rub BBQ Chicken was served along side Sweet Roasted Baby Carrots, Potato Latkes (courtesy of Shomrei’s Chanukah celebration), with a side of Applesauce, Challah Roll, Clementines and teen Collin’s homemade Cinnamon Crescent Rolls for dessert. Collin also included a Breakfast Bar for the morning. As always, we added a bottle of water.
At 3:45 pm MESH Staffer Joe Tyson picked up 19 Chicken and 2 Vegetarian Grab N Go meals (which were prepared in the Shomrei kitchen) and transported them to the Unitarian Church parking lot on Church Street for distribution.

About MESH:
The Carol Starr MESH Cafe at Shomrei (Montclair Emergency Services for the Homeless) is a cooperative effort between the MESH organization and local synagogues and churches. While in-person service has been discontinued, we are providing hearty, nutritious take-out meals for the hungry. Shomrei’s turn is on Tuesday nights. Please help fulfill this crucial mitzvah by volunteering to help with food preparation or bagging or by making a donation at: shomrei.org/donate.
