I want to make a brief shoutout to the ROMEOs (Retired Old Men Eating Out) and Marty Hochbaum for the huge support they have extended whenever needed for different ROMEOs, some of whom happen to be close personal friends of mine.

In case you are not familiar with the ROMEOS, it is a group of men who meet twice weekly at Watchung Plaza to nosh and schmooze. The group got its start about 7 years ago and has been going strong ever since. Why am I, a woman, promoting the ROMEOs? It’s because I know from personal experience how important it is to reach out to individuals undergoing recovery and other life-changing events.

According to Kabbalistic beliefs, every mitzvot triggers positive cosmic repercussions. Thank you, thank you, thank you, ROMEOs, for a little bit of heaven on earth and for setting an example for the rest of us.
