Mesh Cafe Dec 20, 2016
Nineteen hungry guests were welcomed to the MESH Cafe at Shomrei this past Tuesday evening. Chef Arden Epstein prepared a healthy and hearty meal beginning with mixed nuts and grapes as the appetizer. A green salad with grape tomatoes, cucumbers and Italian dressing preceded a heartwarming beef stew chock full of meat and veggies and crisp baguette. The meal ended on a sweet note….homemade chocolate bark with almonds and fresh strawberries.
Arden always packs a takeaway bag for our guests, this time containing a granola bar and two clementines. She was assisted by her good friend, Meredith Barrantine, Shomrei’s own, Erin Berman and yours truly. Our wonderful and committed teens were Rachel, Matt, Amalia, Leelah, Siona and Sam. Ever reliable and helpful MESH staffers, Adrienne and Joseph, pictured below, made sure things ran smoothly. Another successful night at the MESH Cafe at Shomrei!
