Yasher Koach to Amanda Seef-Charny for organizing Shomrei Shares!  The Rabbi received the following letter from IHN thanking Shomrei for support of IHN families:

Dear Rabbi David,

On Behalf of Interfaith Hospitality Network of Essex County (IHN), I would like to thank Congregation Shomrei Emunah for giving so generously to our families through Shomrei Shares.  Our families were overwhelmed with the items that they received as most are rebuilding their households from scratch.  Some of the parents unwrapped each gift at our Family Resource Center and expressed surprise and joy with every new item they opened.

We also appreciate the ShopRite give cards totaling $1,775.00. We have put many of them to use as our families in permanent housing still struggle to make ends meet. We don’t think moms and dads should have to choose between putting food on the table and paying their rent. Because of your generosity, they won’t have to.

Our goal at IHN is to help families in Essex Country work towards housing stability. Being able to maintain a stable residence makes life better for everyone in their household, especially their children. Not only do children perform better in school, they also realize improved health and positive social relationships. Again, we thank Congregation Shomrei Emunah for helping our families in such a signifiant way.

We hope that 2015 will be a joy-filled year for your members, knowing they have served others.

With sincere gratitude,
Emma Justice
