MESH Report Nov 9, 2021

Chef Fern’s Salmon was back on the menu this past Tuesday. Always a fan favorite, the Salmon was served with lemon slice and a side of Tzaziki sauce. Included with the entree was a hearty portion of Fern’s homemade Noodle Kugel, plus Kale Salad, a roll, a water bottle, two clementines and delicious Chocolate Chip Cookies homemade by Collin Brooks.

Fern and Collin prepared at their homes and the food was heated and portioned at Shomrei by Alex Kent, Susan Rosenblatt and Lynne Kurzweil. 20 Grab and Go Bags were waiting for distribution by MESH Staffer Mr. Tyson.

About MESH:

The Carol Starr MESH Cafe at Shomrei (Montclair Emergency Services for the Homeless) is a cooperative effort between the MESH organization and local synagogues and churches. While in-person service has been discontinued, donations from each institution are being used to provide hearty, nutritious meals for the hungry. Shomrei’s turn is on Tuesday nights. Please help fulfill this crucial mitzvah by making a donation at: shomrei.org/donate.
