Volunteers John Lasiter and Susan Rosenblatt were able to take advantage of a bounty of unopened, catered food from a recent B’nai Mitzvah Kiddush. They packaged 20 to-go meals consisting of Falaffel, Tahinah, Borekahs, Roasted Vegetables, Hummus, Salad with Feta, Baklava, A fresh Orange and a granola bar.

We have 2 more weeks to go before we break for the summer.  There remains an opening for helpers for the last two weeks.  Don’t miss this chance to join in on this important mitzvah to feed the hungry.

About MESH:

The Carol Starr MESH Cafe at Shomrei (Montclair Emergency Services for the Homeless) is a cooperative effort between the MESH organization and local synagogues and churches. While in-person service has been discontinued, we are providing hearty, nutritious take-out meals for the hungry. Shomrei’s turn is on Tuesday nights. Please help fulfill this crucial mitzvah by volunteering to help with food preparation or bagging or by making a donation at: shomrei.org/donate.
