MESH Report Oct 25, 2022
Foggy days don’t deter us…this team turned out to create a cheerful meal for our guests!
The team, consisting of Risa Bernstein and Susan Rosenblatt led by Shirley Grill was very efficient as we created a hearty and color balanced meal consisting of:
- Starter: A green salad with Russian dressing and a roll;
- Main: Beer Batter white fish over rice with a side of roasted carrots;
- Dessert: Clementines and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies (baked by Jordan Sag);
- The extra: Breakfast bar and water.
30 Grab N Go Bags were picked up by Mr. Joe Tyson for distribution in downtown Montclair.

About MESH:
The Carol Starr MESH Cafe at Shomrei (Montclair Emergency Services for the Homeless) is a cooperative effort between the MESH organization and local synagogues and churches. While in-person service has been discontinued, we are providing hearty, nutritious take-out meals for the hungry. Shomrei’s turn is on Tuesday nights. Please help fulfill this crucial mitzvah by volunteering to help with food preparation or bagging or by making a donation at: shomrei.org/donate.
