Latkes of Fun!

It was great to be making Latkes for the Shomrei Hanukkah Party again!  We hadn’t made them since the “before times” (2019).  We had a great crew of volunteers and together we made about 600, which was a good thing because they were all eaten!

A big “Thank You” to the Latke Crew: Charlie Breslin, Brian Podnos, Jordan Rost, Adrienne Shulman, Jesse Toledano and Adam Weinstein! (and their children!)

Here’s a home-sized recipe, scaled down from the one we used.

 

 

 

  • John has been at Shomrei Emunah since 2006. He's the designer and co-editor of ShomreiWeek (weekly newsletter) and Kol Emunah Blog. He's a graphic/web designer and a theater lighting designer. When he's not designing graphics and posters for Shomrei he's sometimes in some far-flung corner of the country working on musicals and plays. He lives in Montclair with his wife Adrienne and children, Sam and Elliot.
