Shomrei’s High Holy Day services are open to anyone.  There is no charge but space is limited, please RSVP (if you are not a member) at shomrei.org/awe. Childcare services are also available.

These are the days when all doors are open: the doors of prayer, song, meditation and silent introspection, of family, friendship and solitude, of exploration, seeking and of solace, of joy, pride and humility and awe, of acceptance and forgiveness and love.

At Shomrei we work to open these doors for everyone, literally and figuratively. Throughout Rosh Ha-Shanah and Yom Kippur we offer a variety of options through which to enter into the rich world of Jewish living. Our traditional service incorporates age-old chants as well as contemporary music, poetry and readings in an interactive format. Our Family and Children’s services offer age-appropriate ways for everyone, of whatever background, to learn more about our heritage and celebrate it. Our Teen groups explore important issues in a space dedicated especially to them. And our meditation and study groups open doors to the inner spirit and to intellectual growth.

We greet each other, old friends and new, old-timers and first-timers and we hold the door open for each other.
