Three summers ago, I was lying on my couch in terrible pain from messing up my back. Every time I moved, I was yelling out loud (it is good I live alone or I would have scared someone), It was a beautiful day and all I wanted was to be outside enjoying the summer, playing golf or tennis or anything, other than being stuck lying on my couch. Teen MESH was this week. Jordan (team leader), Sena, Livvie and new volunteer Marley were the very efficient crew. On Monday (3/22), we cooked and packed dinner bags with: Honey baked chicken, Cous Cous Salad, Roll, Cookies, Tangerine, Protein bar, and Water.
It was a skeleton crew for MESH. School vacation began and Superhero Jordan was the only teen available to help with MESH on Monday afternoon. Jordan and Fern got it all done, and in just 2 hours. (more…)
We had our first Teen MESH of the year.
We decided to go with tried-and-true for our first Teen MESH of the year. The dinner bags were packed with: Salmon burgers on buns, Tzatziki sauce, Rice Pilaf Mediterranean salad, Cookies, Protein bar, Tangerines, and Water.
Jordan, president of PLATES, brought four other club members to cook for our 50 guests. Pictured above: Olyvia, Jordan, Caitlin, Sena and Leila.
