Chef Lynne Kurzweil prepared a crowd favorite Grab N Go meal with the able assistance of Sous Chef and frequent volunteer, Alex Kent.

The meal included Panko Crusted Tilapia, Corn on the Cob, and Sweet Kale and Cabbage Salad with Poppyseed Dressing.  A glorious NJ Hard Roll was provided by Abby and Livy and Hailey baked her famous Chocolate Chip Cookies with a Girl Scout Thin Mint thrown in for an extra twist.  A Banana, a Double Fig Bar and a water bottle rounded out the meal.

The Carol Starr MESH Cafe at Shomrei (Montclair Emergency Services for the Homeless) is a cooperative effort between the MESH organization and local synagogues and churches. While in-person service has been discontinued, we are providing hearty, nutritious take-out meals for the hungry. Shomrei’s turn is on Tuesday nights.
