Once again, our Shomrei Community of Giving stepped up to the call for MESH supplies for winter respite. Over the course of the two week drive, we transported roughly 10 van and SUV loads of paper towels, toilet paper and coffee to MESH headquarters.
Due to a scheduling conflict, this week’s Team cooked and partially packed on Sunday, then reheated and finished packing up on Tuesday afternoon.
Chef Lynne, ably assisted by Linda Wieseneck, Joan Zief and Lanny Kurzweil, prepared BBQ Chicken, Roasted Potatoes and Roasted Mixed Vegetables. The team assembled the meal bags with an apple, chocolate-dipped biscotti, roll, ketchup cup, water bottle and cutlery pack. (more…)
