Saturday, April 11th, is the final day of Passover. This is also a day on which Yizkor is recited. Since the Hinei Mah Tov group has not scheduled any services between March and May, we are considering adding one more HMT service to the calendar on this day. (more…)
If possible, all hametz – food not acceptable during Pesah (Passover), or materials containing such unacceptable food – should be destroyed or given away before the holiday begins.
Should this be impossible, the hametz may be stored in such a way that we are sure not to use it during the holiday and its actual ownership, and the ownership of the space in which it is stored, is transferred to a non-Jew until the holiday ends.
Our Shabbat Yoga practice is an ideal way to pause in our often hectic lives to rest and re-center ourselves. By slowing down, we become open to experiencing our body, mind and soul as one.
All levels are welcome. No previous yoga experience is required. Please wear comfortable clothes.
Elisa Spungen Bildner, a registered yoga instructor certified by the Institute for Jewish Spirituality, will lead our yoga sessions.

Shomrei holds a Healing Service on the last Monday evening of every month. This service combines traditional and non-traditional elements of prayer, mindfulness, song, story, discussion and silence for those in our community who are coping with physical, emotional and spiritual health issues and for those who are in caring relationships with people who are in that situation.
Please tell your friends and neighbors.
